About the role
To support the continued growth of my client by leading, scaling and strengthening the Inside Sales function across Business Development Managers and Sales Development Reps (SDRs). The Associate Director of Inside Sales will have senior accountability for direct sales performance, forecasting, coaching, quality, compliance, CRM discipline and revenue delivery.
This role will lead a team of BDMs, and the SDR Manager overseeing a team of SDRs, while maintaining a dotted-line reporting relationship into the UKI Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment with wider group sales strategy, governance and performance expectations. The role will require flexibility to attend meetings outside core Australian office hours, including weekly meetings with the UKI Senior Leadership Team and other meetings with centralised UKI sales functions as required.
Day to day, the role will drive sales leadership, revenue outcomes and scalable processes across current business, upsells, upgrades, partnerships, bids and tenders, while working closely with the Marketing team to optimise web performance, campaign effectiveness and webcast-led sales opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of BDMs in line with business growth plans.
- Provide leadership and direction to the SDR Manager responsible for the business Engine Room of SDRs, ensuring appointment quality,
activity levels and conversion outcomes support revenue targets.
- Own departmental sales performance, including quarterly BDM and SDR deal and revenue targets.
- Execute the Group Inside Sales strategy across new business sales, upsells, upgrades, partnerships, bids and tenders.
- Partner with the UKI Senior Leadership Team through a dotted-line reporting relationship to ensure alignment with group sales priorities, governance standards and commercial expectations.
- Attend weekly UKI Senior Leadership Team meetings and relevant centralised UKI sales function meetings, including where these fall outside core Australian office hours.
- Drive accurate forecasting, pipeline management, CRM discipline and performance reporting across the Inside Sales department.
- Embed strong sales governance, compliance, quality standards and customer outcomes across all revenue-generating activity.
- Use daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly MI to identify performance trends, risks, coaching needs and growth opportunities.
- Lead sales floor rhythm, incentives, campaigns and activity management to drive urgency, accountability and high performance.
