Key Responsibilities

- Monitor changes to Blundstone’s risk profile and support business areas to identify,
assess and manage emerging risks.
- Support major incident reviews and investigations, including stakeholder coordination, root-cause analysis, documentation and corrective-action tracking.
- Provide practical risk advice and build effective relationships with operational teams, management and senior leaders.
- Prepare risk communications, presentations and training materials for different audiences.
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of quality, environmental and risk management frameworks.
- Coordinate and contribute to internal audit activities, including evidence preparation, audit documentation and follow-up of findings and corrective actions.
- Review relevant policies, procedures and frameworks, identifying gaps and preparing proposed updates.
About You
You are a practical and cooperative risk and assurance professional who can balance hands-on delivery with considered advice. You are comfortable working independently, engaging with stakeholders across different areas of a business and translating risk and assurance requirements into clear, workable processes.
You will bring:
- Qualifications in risk management, auditing or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Experience in risk-based auditing and risk management at strategic and operational levels.
- An understanding of ISO management systems and internal audit processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain risk requirements clearly and practically.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
- Familiarity with governance practices, compliance frameworks and the design and evaluation of internal controls.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to strengthening risk maturity and systems assurance.
- Experience in manufacturing, retail or consumer goods, would be highly regarded, as would practical experience in working with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
