Resolve Mechanical Services Pty Ltd

Are you an experienced HVAC technician who enjoys fault finding, diagnostics and working on complex mechanical systems, rather than doing the same routine work every day?

Resolve Mechanical Services is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team.

We offer the opportunity to work across a genuinely diverse range of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including chillers, AHUs, controls/BMS, commercial refrigeration and heat pump systems.

If you're technically minded, enjoy solving problems and want a role where you can continue developing your skills, we'd like to hear from you.

About Us

Resolve Mechanical Services is an Australian owned and operated family business that has been providing mechanical services since 2008.

We support a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial clients throughout Sydney CBD, Metropolitan Sydney and Greater Western Sydney, with additional operations across Australia.

Our team provides service, maintenance, breakdown and repair solutions across a broad range of mechanical plant and equipment. We utilise modern technology and systems, including SimPRO service management software, to support our technicians in the field and provide a high standard of service to our clients.

We pride ourselves on technical capability, quality workmanship, problem solving and long-term relationships with our customers.

The Role

We're looking for a competent and experienced HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in their work and is confident diagnosing and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

You'll work across a varied range of equipment and systems, including:

- Chillers and chilled-water systems

- Package units

- Air Handling Units (AHUs)

- Controls and Building Management Systems (BMS)

- Commercial refrigeration systems

- Commercial and industrial heat pumps

- Associated pumps, fans, motors, electrical controls and mechanical equipment

Your day-to-day work will include planned maintenance,

breakdown response, fault finding, diagnostics, repairs and improvement works.

You'll be trusted to investigate faults, determine the cause and provide practical solutions rather than simply identifying that equipment isn't working.

Your Responsibilities

- Service, maintain, diagnose and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment

- Attend and resolve breakdowns across a diverse range of mechanical systems

- Carry out refrigeration and electrical fault finding

- Diagnose control and BMS-related issues

- Identify underlying causes of equipment failures and recommend appropriate repairs

- Identify opportunities for repairs, upgrades, refurbishments and plant improvements

- Prepare repair recommendations and customer quotations

- Communicate professionally with clients, service coordinators and management

- Complete service reports and documentation through SimPRO

- Identify and manage site hazards and maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety

- Work both autonomously and alongside other experienced technicians

- Participate in the company after-hours breakdown roster

About You

We're looking for someone who is technically capable, dependable and takes ownership of their work.

To be successful, you will have:

- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

- Current Refrigerant Handling License

- Current Australian Driver's License

- Construction White Card

- Minimum 3–5 years' hands-on HVAC service experience

- Strong commercial HVAC service, maintenance and breakdown experience

- Sound refrigeration and electrical fault-finding ability

- Experience with some or all of the following:

chillers, AHUs, BMS/controls, refrigeration and heat pumps

- The ability to confidently diagnose faults and work through problems logically

- The ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a team environment

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Valuable attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

- A professional and reliable approach

- Willingness to participate in the company's after-hours roster

- Australian citizenship, which is required for this position

You don't need to know everything. We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, a willingness to learn and the ability to think through problems rather than simply replace parts.

What We Offer

Good technicians are valuable, and we want experienced people to build a long-term career with Resolve.

The successful applicant will receive an attractive remuneration package based on experience and technical ability, including:

- Above-market hourly rate

- Company vehicle

- Company iPad

- Company mobile phone

- Company uniforms

- Varied commercial and industrial work

- Exposure to chillers, refrigeration, heat pumps, BMS/controls, AHUs and other complex HVAC systems

- Opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and capabilities

- Support from an experienced service and management team

- A high level of autonomy and responsibility

- Stable, long-term employment with an established Australian-owned company
