We are a leading company in the Textile industry and are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic team in a full-time, onsite role based at our office & distribution centre in Epping, Victoria.
You will work Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, in a supportive and fast-paced setting where teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude are highly valued.
About the role
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient running of daily warehouse operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of hands-on warehouse activities required to keep the warehouse functioning effectively.
This is a busy cut-to-length high volume operation, where quality and an eye for detail is paramount, while speed of execution is required.
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to;
- Picking and Put-away of products
- Fabric Inspection, Quality Control and Cutting-to-length of orders
- Packing, Invoicing and Manifesting of orders
- Conducting general warehousing duties, which may include machine operation, cleaning and administration.
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goals.
- Working within and complying with occupational health and safety guidelines to ensure your own safety and that of others.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Operating warehouse equipment safely and effectively
- Assisting with stock takes and inventory audits as required
- Ad hoc duties as required
What we're looking for
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre, with textiles or manufacturing industry is highly regarded
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety procedures are essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive verbal and written communication style
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks safely
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Current or willingness to obtain required certifications (Forklift licence/ Stock Picker licence)
- Valid driver's licence
- Valid working rights in Australia
