We are seeking an experienced Retail Butcher to join our Gourmet Butcher team, with opportunities at both our Bunbury and Vasse stores. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role for someone who takes pride in skilled butchery, quality products, and excellent service.

We provide high-quality specialist departments including our Gourmet Butcher/Deli, Dairy, Groceries, Sweet and Savoury Pastries and Café. Role Summary

You will prepare meat products for sale, help guests choose the right cuts, and keep the Gourmet Butcher counter stocked and well presented. Your duties will include:

- Cutting, deboning, trimming, and portioning beef, chicken, lamb, and pork to specification.

- Preparing crumbed products, marinades, and special guest orders.

- Weighing, packaging, and labelling products accurately.

- Stocking and presenting the meat cabinet, checking quality, and rotating stock.

- Advising guests on meat cuts and their uses.

- Maintaining a clean work area and following food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.

What You Will Bring





- Retail butchery experience and robust knife-handling, sharpening, and deboning skills.

- Confidence preparing a range of meats to specification and using processing equipment, including a bandsaw.

- Strong food-handling and hygiene practices, with attention to product quality and presentation.

- A welcoming approach to guest service and the ability to work well with others.

- Reliability, initiative, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy retail environment.

- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays where required.
