About the role

Evolve Fire Protection is looking for a Fire Technician to join our growing team. We welcome applicants from either of these backgrounds: Service and testing – a multi-skilled fire systems tester experienced in annual testing and routine servicing across a range of fire protection systems, or Minor works installation – an installation technician who will predominantly carry out minor works and is keen to learn fire system servicing and testing. We will shape the role around your experience and strengths, with opportunities to broaden your skills.

Key responsibilities

For service and testing applicants:

- Routine servicing and annual testing of fire protection systems

- Identifying defects and clearly reporting the repairs required

- Fault-finding and repairs within your skills and qualifications

- Completing accurate service reports and asset records using Uptick

- Coordinating with the team and clients to complete testing efficiently

For minor works installation applicants:

- Installing, replacing and upgrading fire protection equipment

- Cabling, equipment fit-off and assisting with commissioning

- Completing defect repairs and small installation projects

- Reading drawings and coordinating works with other trades

- Developing your service, testing and fault-finding skills alongside experienced technicians

About you

- Has relevant fire industry testing or installation experience





- Takes pride in safe, tidy and reliable workmanship

- Can work independently and contribute to a team

- Takes ownership of jobs and follows them through to completion

- Brings practical solutions when problems arise

- Communicates professionally with clients and colleagues

- Is organised and completes reports accurately

- Holds a current driver licence and White Card

- Is willing to travel to sites across our service areas

- Relevant trade licences, fire industry qualifications, panel programming experience and knowledge of Australian Standards will be highly regarded
