ABOUT KINGLOC COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT
Kingloc Commercial Equipment is a proudly Australian-owned business with over 40 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration. We specialise in plug-in refrigeration equipment and provide end-to-end solutions across warehousing, logistics, servicing and asset management for national corporate clients.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a hands-on Transport and Warehouse Manager to lead our NSW warehouse and logistics operations from our Minchinbury branch. While previous experience in transport, warehousing or team leadership will be valued, we are equally interested in finding the right person — someone who takes initiative, works hard, asks questions and is genuinely willing to learn and grow with the business. You don't need to know everything on day one; we're looking for someone who is proactive, takes ownership and is motivated to continually improve.
For the right person, this role offers genuine development opportunities and the potential to progress into broader operational leadership as the business continues to grow.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of our NSW transport, warehouse and distribution operations based at our Minchinbury branch.
You will lead a team of drivers, warehouse staff and operational support personnel, ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective movement, storage and distribution of refrigeration equipment across NSW. The role is responsible for driving operational performance, maintaining high service standards, supporting compliance requirements and fostering a positive team culture.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role within a growing national business, with ongoing professional development and future career progression opportunities for the right candidate.
This is a fully site-based position and requires a consistent on-site presence to effectively lead teams, support daily operations and maintain strong engagement with employees and customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the National Operations Manager and Managing Director, your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and managing all NSW warehouse, transport and logistics operations to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
• Leadership, development and performance management of warehouse staff, drivers, offsiders and despatch personnel
• Planning, coordinating and overseeing daily transport schedules, deliveries, collections and interstate equipment transfers.
• Managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, asset management, stocktakes, equipment handling and storage optimisation.
• Managing incoming container deliveries, including scheduling, unloading,
warehouse capacity and stock placement to ensure efficient and timely processing.
• Ensuring the efficient utilisation of vehicles, labour and operational resources to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
• Managing corporate customer relationships from an operational perspective and acting as a key point of contact for service delivery matters.
• Ensuring service delivery is aligned with customer contracts, KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Overseeing Work Health & Safety (WHS) compliance and promoting a robust safety-first culture across all operational activities.
• Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), transport legislation and company policies and procedures.
• Monitoring fleet performance, maintenance requirements and subcontractor compliance to support operational reliability.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse, transport and logistics operations to improve efficiency, service delivery and cost control.
• Acting as the senior escalation point for operational, transport, warehouse and customer service issues within NSW.
• Monitoring operational performance, labour utilisation and costs, and contributing to budgeting and financial performance reviews.
• Contributing to state and national operational projects, strategic initiatives and the continued growth of the business.
ABOUT YOU
You are a hands-on, proactive leader who enjoys being close to the day-to-day operation and isn't afraid to get involved when needed. You take ownership, show initiative and look for solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do. You are naturally curious, willing to ask questions and keen to learn, with the drive to continually improve yourself, your team and the way things are done.
You don't need to know everything from day one. What matters to us is that you work hard, take responsibility, communicate well and are willing to learn. You lead by example, follow things through and take pride in delivering a safe, efficient and well-run operation.
You will bring:
• Experience within transport, warehousing, logistics or a similar operational environment, ideally with some exposure to team leadership or supervision.
• A proactive mindset with the initiative to identify issues, find solutions and follow things through to completion.
• A willingness to learn,
ask questions and continually develop your operational and leadership knowledge.
• Strong people skills with the ability to lead by example, support team development and hold people accountable for performance.
• Good organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a busy operational environment.
• Practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions and take ownership of day-to-day operational issues.
• An understanding of transport and warehouse operations, with knowledge of vehicle compliance and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) highly regarded.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments and levels of the business.
• A customer-focused approach and the ability to resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
• High attention to detail and a genuine commitment to safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience using ERP or operational management systems highly regarded.
• The ability to build positive working relationships with employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to Work Health & Safety (WHS) and a willingness to lead and promote a positive safety culture.
• A current Driver's Licence (MR and/or Forklift Licence highly regarded).
