The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience. Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.
Eligibility
For this role, you must:
- Be at least 17 years of age when you enter the ADF
- Have either completed Year 12 with passes in English and 3 other board accredited academic subjects that meet Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) requirements or be in your final year and on track to pass them all
- Be an Australian citizen. If you are not an Australian Citizen you may still be eligible to join the ADF if you meet certain criteria, please visit the ADF Careers Eligibility Page for more details
- Be reasonably fit and healthy. Keeping fit is a big part of joining the ADF. You’ll need to pass a physical fitness test before you join, but don’t worry, we'll give you tips to help you prepare
- Be able to successfully obtain a security clearance
