This is a hands-on, entry-level role for someone who loves coffee, events, and making things happen. Reporting to our Growth Marketing Lead, you'll plan and deliver Merlo's events and activations from start to finish. No two weeks look the same. One weekend you might be pulling shots at a school fete or community activation, and the next you'll be leading our team at a major trade show like the EKKA or a convention centre event. You'll also help bring our sponsorships to life and play a key role in our very own Merlo Barista Championships.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating logistics, staffing and stock for events big and small
- Liaising with event organisers, suppliers and businesses to bring each activation to life
- Keeping event staff informed and organised with clear communication before, during and after each event
- Working on site as a skilled barista, serving coffee and leading the event day team
- Driving and managing Merlo's mobile coffee van and FJ Cruiser to and from events
- Supporting the wider Marketing team with content capture and general marketing admin during quieter periods on the calendar
About you
- An experienced and skilled barista who's confident representing Merlo on the ground
- A current driver's licence (required)
- Confidence to drive our coffee van and 4WD event vehicle
- Flexibility to work weekend events
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple moving parts
- A team player who thrives across different environments, from cafes to convention centres
- A genuine passion for coffee and a commitment to Merlo's success
- Previous events coordination experience is a plus
