The opportunity
Our team is growing, and we have an exciting opportunity in our Engagement team for an experienced fundraising, marketing and events professional.
This Senior Coordinator role involves developing and delivering our fundraising campaigns, events and partnerships, engaging with our supporters and community and working on some of Australia's biggest fundraising and marketing campaigns in conjunction with our Federation partners around Australia.
This role is responsible for acquiring and retaining peer-to-peer fundraisers, growing fundraising revenue, maximising community engagement and the supporter experience for Cancer Council WA.
You’ll bring a strong track record in planning and implementing community engagement and/or peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, events and project management in a fast-paced community facing environment with multiple stakeholders.
Fundraising experience will be beneficial, but it is not essential.
We are looking for someone who is passionate with a positive “can-do” attitude and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment to help us paint Western Australia yellow as part of our Engagement team in the Marketing and Fundraising division at Cancer Council WA.
Based in Subiaco, this position is permanent part-time position (0.9 FTE)
What you’ll be doing:
- Project managing, leading and implementing fundraising campaigns and events to drive revenue growth, fundraising acquisition and retention and delivering excellence in supporter experience.
- Working collaboratively with the Engagement and Partnerships Manager to implement fundraising, engagement and partnership strategies.
- Working on a portfolio of some of Australians leading fundraising and marketing campaigns and events such as Daffodil Day, Relay for Life, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, The Longest Day and Do It For Cancer.
- Working collaboratively on a portfolio of shared fundraising campaigns to help drive revenue, fundraising acquisition and retention, supporter experience, communications, budgets,
and timelines.
- Regularly briefing cross-functional teams on fundraising campaigns to ensure alignment and to manage timelines and meet deadlines.
- Responsible for fundraising campaign analysis and reporting and working collaboratively with the data and finance team to ensure end-to-end data alignment.
- Contributing to national fundraising and partnership strategies in collaboration with Cancer Council marketing and fundraising colleagues across Australia.
- Working with national local marketing and fundraising budgets to deliver revenue targets and manage efficient expenditure.
- Project managing our community engagement programs and partnerships with a wide range of audiences across fundraisers, community groups, workplaces, sporting clubs and schools throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia
- Building and managing relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven background in implementing successful marketing and/or engagement campaigns across a wide range of audiences. Experience in fundraising in the not-for-profit sector will be beneficial but is not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering multiple projects with competing deadlines across marketing events, partnerships, data and project management.
- Strong events planning and implementation skills with hands-on experience in logistics, bump in and bump out, and supplier relationships.
- Solid background in CRM management, project management software, third party platforms and advanced excel skills to support data driven decision making.
- Experience in managing budgets while driving revenue growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Positive “can-do” attitude with high level organisational skills and experience working collaboratively in a team setting to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interest in community engagement and demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Strong commitment to delivering excellence in supporter and customer experience with a focus on acquisition and retention.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Represent CCWA at fundraising events with public speaking opportunities and stakeholder engagement.
- A tertiary qualification in related discipline and/or proven success of on-the-job experience (5 +years or more) in a relevant position.
