About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Storeman / Despatch & Receiving Officer to join QMW Industries Pty Ltd in a full-time capacity at our facility in Acacia Ridge, QLD. This role is central to our warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our storage and despatch systems. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating the receipt and despatch of products, and supporting our logistics team to meet customer expectations and operational deadlines. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic warehouse environment where your attention to detail and organisational skills will have a direct impact on our operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

- Receiving and inspecting incoming goods, verifying against delivery documentation and recording items into the inventory management system

- Organising and storing products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper categorisation and accessibility for future despatch

- Preparing orders for despatch by locating, picking and packing items according to customer specifications

- Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring goods are secured safely and correctly arranged to prevent damage

- Maintaining accurate warehouse records, including inventory counts and stock level documentation

- Conducting regular stock checks and identifying discrepancies to resolve inventory issues promptly

- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (where applicable) and other material handling machinery safely and efficiently

- Ensuring the warehouse environment is kept clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards





- Communicating with team members to coordinate despatch schedules and prioritise urgent orders

- Supporting the implementation of warehouse procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

- Prior experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment is essential

- Demonstrated proficiency in receiving, storing and despatch operations

- Experience operating warehouse management systems and basic computer literacy

- Forklift Licence (Required)

- Driver's Licence (Required)

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

- Meticulous attention to detail, particularly when handling documentation and recording inventory

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling duties regularly, including lifting and carrying goods

- Commitment to health and safety compliance and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment

- Reliable timekeeping and a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration

- Explicit communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
