Adelaide Periodontal and Implant Professionals (APIP) are looking for a Dental Assistant to join and support our dedicated team on a Permanent Full-time basis. We are looking for a lovely person who takes pride in their work. Our practice has a very strong reputation which we owe to our wonderful staff whom we value extremely highly, and who have seen our practice grow. We are looking for somebody who communicates well and enjoys working with others in a warm and collegial environment. The successful applicant will provide excellent patient service, while also possessing high level clinical skills and a desire to genuinely look after people. The right person will lead by example - be dependable and responsible, caring with a warm manner and enjoy the comradery of joining a supportive group of assistants striving for excellence. This position suits someone who wants to take a step forward in their career in a privately owned and very well-regarded specialist practice. Over the years many of our excellent staff have used the knowledge and experience they have gained in a specialist periodontal practice to successfully apply for the Dental Hygiene or BOH training programs. We are committed to training the right person and staff enjoy learning high-end surgical and implant skills.
About us
APIP is a privately owned specialist Periodontal and Dental Implant Practice located on Pulteney St in Adelaide and we are well known nationally. Our practice is close to a wide range of public transport options. We operate out of large, beautiful dental rooms which are very modern with state-of-the art equipment.
We pride ourselves on our integrity and caring attitude towards patients.
Tasks will include:
- Chairside dental assisting
- High level infection control
- Sterilisation of instruments as required
- Assisting our hygiene staff
- Note taking and assistance with record writing. Our practice is digital and utilises D4W software.
- Re-stocking the surgeries.
- No weekend work and no patients after 5.30pm during the week.
- Opportunity for a 9 day fortnight
The successful candidate will have the following:
A passion to work and continue to grow in the dental industry in a specialist environment.
A wish to learn new high-level surgical skills, particularly related to dental implants and grafting.
Excellent chairside assisting skills
Superior customer service skills and a warm personality.
Have leadership qualities and enjoy setting the right example for others.
Ability to effectively multi-task in a busy and fast paced environment.
High level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
A calm and caring demeanour.
