Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking experienced Locum Residents, Registrars and CMOs to support Emergency Department services across a busy metropolitan-fringe hospital.

This role is ideal for doctors wanting strong hourly rates, rewarding ED shifts and exposure to acute and critical care presentations close to Sydney.

You will manage acute presentations in a dynamic ED environment with consultant support, access to ICU and integrated retrieval services.

Clinical Workplace

- Major trauma, resus and complex medical/surgical emergencies
- Supportive supervision with on-site FACEMs and Registrars
- ICU, retrieval and specialist team involvement
- Structured escalation pathways
- Diverse pathology across metro and regional presentations

Requirements

- General or Specialist AHPRA Registration
- Recent Emergency or critical care experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing

Location

Nepean Blue Mountains offers ED locum work in a busy Western Sydney referral setting, close to both metropolitan Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

Referral Program

Also, if locum work isn’t for you at the moment but you know another doctor who may be interested, we do have a referral program. Successful referrals can receive a $1,100 prepaid gift card for non-specialist doctors, or $1,600 for specialist/consultant referrals, once the referred doctor has completed the required shifts.
