What you’ll do:
Join Santos as a Financial Analyst, providing accurate and insightful financial analysis managing capital expenditure to support our Eastern Australia team from the Brisbane office. You’ll demonstrate a clear understanding of financial performance, process controls, joint venture compliance, as well as continuous that enhance data integrity and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with managers to provide decision-making support, reporting, and demand-driven analysis
- Produce monthly reporting packs with analysis, insight, and commentary on business performance and key drivers
- Support audit queries and ensure compliance with Santos governance and safety requirements
- Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Santos and Joint Ventures
- Provide Joint Venture commentary and reporting
- Perform month-end accounting including journal preparation,
result review, and integrity checks
- Contribute to Asset Performance Reviews and half-year/year-end Group Finance reporting
- Own departmental cost centres and review cost allocations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by championing the ESSA (Eliminate, Simplify, Standardise, Automate) mindset within the finance function.
What you'll bring:
- CA / CPA qualification with a Business / Commerce Degree
- Minimum 4 years' experience across financial roles
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Advanced MS Excel and SAP ERP experience
- Power BI experience preferred
- Business partnering experience with management across multiple disciplines
- Resources industry and/or Joint Venture experience (desirable)
