THE CLIENT
Our client is a part of the Iconic Snowy Hydro 2.0 project in Cooma. They are a leading heavy mechanical engineering, services and contracting business operating throughout Australia and New Zealand in major capital cities and regional locations. They perform an integral role in the development of ANZ infrastructure across mining and resources, transport and power markets.

THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Reporting & Business Intelligence Analyst to support the project team with high-quality reporting, data analysis and business intelligence.

This is a key role responsible for transforming complex operational and business data into clear, meaningful reporting that supports decision-making, performance management and continuous improvement across the project.
You will work closely with project, commercial, operational and management teams to understand reporting requirements, develop and improve reporting solutions, analyse trends and provide insights that help the business make informed decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Reporting, BI or Business Analyst to join a major infrastructure project and play a genuine role in improving the way project data is captured, analysed and utilised.

Location: Cooma, NSW
Roster: 5/2 FIFO (Fly in Fly Out)
Salary: $140K–$180K + Super (Depending on experience)

THE FLEXIBILITY
The role is initially Fly in Fly out 5 days per week in Cooma while you establish yourself within the business and project team.
Once settled, there is significant flexibility, with the opportunity to transition to:





- 1 week in Cooma / 1 week working from home, alternating
- Following approximately 6 months, the role can become predominantly work-from-home, with approximately 1 week per month in Cooma, subject to performance and business requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and maintain project reporting, dashboards and business intelligence solutions.
- Analyse project and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance insights.
- Develop Power BI dashboards, KPIs and management reports.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical reporting solutions.
- Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes.
- Provide data-driven insights to support management decision-making.
- Work closely with project, commercial, finance, engineering and operational teams to improve data quality and reporting.

ABOUT YOU

- Experience as a Reporting Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Analyst or Business Analyst with a strong reporting focus.




- Strong Power BI and Excel skills, including dashboard development and data analysis.
- Ability to interpret complex data and turn it into clear, meaningful business insights.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in infrastructure, construction, engineering, mining or energy would be highly regarded.
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance or a related discipline advantageous.

PROJECT INFORMATION
Snowy 2.0 is the next generation of the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, and construction of this major pumped hydro project is well underway. Once complete, the Scheme will provide 2000 megawatts of dispatchable, on-demand renewable power and approximately 350,000 megawatt hours of large-scale energy storage to the Australian National Electricity Market.
