We are partnering a privately-owned Australian business looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant.
Reporting to CFO, you'll take ownership of financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis while partnering with operational leaders to provide meaningful commercial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close process, monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist with annual budgets, rolling forecasts and financial modelling
- Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance processes with support from external accountants
- Drive reporting improvements and identify process efficiencies
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to support decision-making
- Directly manage the performance of an Accountant
About You
- CA/CPA qualified or close to completion
- Experience in a Financial/Management/Commercial Accountant role in a small-medium sized business
- Advanced Excel and proficiency with AI-enabled finance tools
- You are someone who enjoys building connections with non-finance teams and understanding what makes the business tick
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth business setting and adaptable to changing priorities
