Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to join their technology team in Townsville.
This is a hands-on technical role supporting a large and complex application environment, with responsibility for application support, Microsoft SQL Server, troubleshooting, debugging, releases and vendor management.The environment supports around 100 applications, so strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple vendors and stakeholders are key.This role is based in Townsville with a weekly requirement to be onsite.The OpportunityYou will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance and improvement of business-critical applications and databases, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and deliver system changes.The role will have a particular focus on TechnologyOne, Chris21 and Microsoft SQL Server, so experience across these environments will be highly valuable.Key responsibilitiesProvide hands-on application support across a large and varied application environmentSupport and troubleshoot TechnologyOne and Chris21 applicationsAdministration and support of on-premises TechnologyOne applications, including ECM, CES, CiA and P&R;, and Frontier Software Chris21, encompassing application upgrades, environment refreshes, database troubleshooting, incident and problem management, system configuration, and ongoing application support and maintenance.Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environmentsInvestigate, troubleshoot and debug complex application and database issuesMonitor application performance and identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvementWork with vendors to resolve technical issues, manage incidents and coordinate fixes and enhancementsManage application changes and releases, including testing,



deployment and post-release supportCoordinate technical activities across multiple application vendors and internal stakeholdersSupport major incidents and contribute to root cause analysis and post-incident reviewsAssist with application configuration, testing, system improvements and technical documentationDevelop or maintain scripts where required to support system administration and troubleshootingMaintain appropriate records across incidents, requests, changes and releasesAbout YouStrong experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise applicationsHands-on experience with TechnologyOne is essentialExperience with Chris 21Experience in the administration and support of on-premises TechnologyOne applications, including ECM, CES, CiA and P&R;, and Frontier Software Chris21, encompassing application upgrades, environment refreshes, database troubleshooting, incident and problem management, system configuration, and ongoing application support and maintenance.Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including database administration and troubleshootingA Microsoft SQL Server / DBA certification or equivalent recognised Microsoft DBA qualificationProven ability to troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issuesExperience managing application releases, changes and deploymentsStrong vendor management skills and confidence coordinating multiple external suppliersExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience working across a large application environment with multiple systems and vendorsUnderstanding of ITIL/service management principlesRelevant IT qualificationsThis is not a Business Analyst role.
We are looking for someone who is technically hands-on, can troubleshoot and debug issues, understands databases and applications, and is comfortable working directly with vendors and technical teams.
