This is a senior role that sits at the intersection of science, strategy, and stakeholder engagement ensuring our practices not only meet regulatory standards but set benchmarks for sustainable aquaculture.The RoleAs the Environmental Compliance Manager, you'll play a key role in:Overseeing Huon's environmental and regulatory compliance obligationsManaging and evolving our Environmental Management FrameworkAdvising on regulatory frameworks and identifying risks, challenges, and opportunitiesPreparing and presenting reports and documentation for regulators and stakeholdersLeading internal environmental compliance meetings and updatesSupporting community and government engagement on environmental mattersKey ResponsibilitiesMaintain and oversee environmental databases, registers, licenses,



and documentationIdentify and mitigate risks related to non-compliance and regulatory breachesGuide site teams on best practice and improvement opportunitiesLead internal environmental committees and reporting cyclesBuild and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies including EPA, Aquaculture Branch, and local councilsAbout YouYou're a confident and cooperative professional with:A degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related fieldExtensive experience navigating environmental legislation and compliance frameworksProven success implementing Environmental Management Systems (EMS)Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsThe ability to work independently and influence across diverse teamsAquaculture experience (or a deep understanding of the industry) is highly desirableA current Driver's Licence and flexibility to travelWhy Join Huon?
