Metroll is seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our Dubbo team.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a production and warehouse environment, takes pride in their work and is eager to learn.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, has a great attitude and is willing to contribute wherever needed to keep the branch operating smoothly.
About The Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for safely operating machinery to manufacture quality metal building products to customer specifications, while also supporting warehouse, packing and dispatch activities.
Operating and programming machinery to manufacture products to customer specifications
Selecting, handling and moving raw materials and finished products safely
Measuring, cutting, bundling, packaging and labelling finished products
Using a forklift to load, unload, stack and retrieve materials and customer orders
Checking orders and goods for accuracy and recording relevant production and stock information
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
Supporting stock control, stocktakes and general branch operations
Reporting production faults, damaged goods, incidents, hazards and safety concerns promptly
Providing helpful and skilled service to customers and supporting the wider team as required
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will be reliable, hardworking and genuinely willing to work.

You will bring:




Current forklift licence and proven forklift operating experience - essential
Previous experience in machine operation, manufacturing, production, warehousing or a similar hands-on environment
Solid commitment to workplace health and safety
Good attention to detail and ability to follow work orders and specifications
Good communication and teamwork skills
A reliable and punctual approach with a strong work ethic
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Standard working hours Monday to Friday 6am - 2:06pm
Previous experience with steel, metal building products or similar materials will be highly regarded
Overhead gantry crane experience and knowledge of production machinery will be advantageous
