The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of person centred, evidence-based nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes in the Perioperative Unit.
The Registered nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the Multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The Registered Nurse will assist in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and will maintain their professional accountability and development in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Competency Standards.
Further to this the Registered Nurse will align their professional conduct with those of the NSW Health CORE Values.

A little about us.
Shellharbour Hospital is a busy acute care facility which provides emergency services, elective surgical services, general medicine, antenatal and primary family health care, satellite renal dialysis, and adolescent and adult mental health services on site.
It's an accredited healthcare facility with the Australian Council on Health Care Standards (ACHS) and is recognised as providing a high standard of care to the community.
Located on the beautiful South Coast of NSW, Shellharbour is known for its spectacular coastal scenery and is only a little over a 1.5 hour drive from Sydney.

This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 14 November **** with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.
Job-Share will be considered for this role.
