BOOKKEEPER – SOUTHPORT/GOLD COAST - PUBLIC PRACTICE ACCOUNTING FIRM (JOB ID 934)

Our client is a well-established and growing public practice accounting firm based in Southport, providing high-quality accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a broad range of clients.
The firm is known for its professional standards, strong client relationships and commitment to ongoing staff development.
The Role:
End-to-end bookkeeping functions
Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Payroll processing, including superannuation, payroll tax and WorkCover
Preparation of BAS and IAS
Drafting financial records up to trial balance stage
Supporting compliance and reporting requirements across client portfolios
Liaising with clients and internal team members to ensure accurate and timely outcomes
About You:
Minimum 3 years' experience in Australian public practice bookkeeping
Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or equivalent experience)
Strong proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office
Solid understanding of payroll, BAS and general accounting processes




High attention to detail and robust organisational skills
Confident communication skills and client service approach
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
