We're partnering with a well-established and growing mining organisation to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant into a newly created position. With substantial investment, increasing reporting requirements and continued growth, the business is looking to hire a technically strong finance professional to help establish and support a critical reporting function.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this newly created role will provide significant exposure to executive leadership, international finance stakeholders and complex group reporting requirements.
Leading quarterly and annual group consolidation processes
Preparing consolidation schedules and reporting packs
Managing month-end and year-end reporting activities
Supporting annual audit requirements and external stakeholder queries
Applying IFRS accounting standards across technical reporting matters
Building relationships with international finance teams and senior stakeholders
Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls
Supporting technical accounting and statutory reporting requirements
This role will suit someone who enjoys technical accounting, ownership and stakeholder engagement,



while wanting broader exposure than a traditional Senior Financial Accountant position.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
CA qualified (or CPA with robust technical reporting experience)
Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and consolidations
Strong IFRS and technical accounting knowledge
Experience supporting external audits
Advanced Excel capability
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive and hands-on approach
Mining, resources, energy or other asset-intensive industry experience will be highly regarded.
Prior exposure to international reporting structures or group consolidations will also be viewed favourably.
