Key Responsibilities
Review purchasing requirements and prioritise urgent or schedule-critical orders.
Source local and regional suppliers, issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
Raise and administer purchase orders in line with approval processes and delegated authorities.
Track and expedite orders to meet project schedules, escalating supply risks when required.
Coordinate deliveries and resolve discrepancies with suppliers, Warehouse, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance.
Support supplier onboarding and maintain accurate, auditable procurement records.
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years' experience
in purchasing or procurement.
Hands-on experience with RFQs, commercial comparisons,



supplier negotiations, purchase orders, and expediting.
Experience using
SAP S/4HANA, SAP, or another ERP system
.
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess cost, lead time, and supply risk.
Solid communication, organisation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Willingness to relocate to Goulburn or work on a FIFO arrangement.
Experience in
construction, infrastructure, energy, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry
is preferred. Experience purchasing industrial equipment, consumables, plant hire, or technical services would be an advantage.
