VMware Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
•Design and implement standard VMware solutions
•Lead small projects or workstreams
•Manage VMware infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking
•Handle cluster configurations and performance tuning
•Support hybrid/cloud-based VMware environments
•Create and maintain technical documentation
Required Skills:
•Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere
•Solid understanding of HA, DRS, lifecycle management
•Experience with distributed switches and NIC teaming
•Storage knowledge including SAN/NAS and VMware vSAN
•Exposure to VMware NSX (basic to intermediate)
•Backup/DR solutions and cloud platforms (VMware Cloud, Azure VMware Solution, etc.)
Troubleshooting Skills:
•Diagnose CPU, memory, and storage performance issues
•Resolve cluster, host, and network configuration issues
•Log analysis and root cause identification
Certifications:
•VCP (mandatory), working towards VCAP preferred
Additional Notes:
•Expected to deliver independently
•Robust ownership of assigned tasks/projects
