Assistant Manager of an Elite Wagyu Herd ~ Murrindindi Shire, Victoria
Leadership position within an expanding 5,000-acre Wagyu aggregation.
Herd will exceed 2,000 Fullblood Waygu Breeders

The Role
This dynamic, hands-on management opportunity combines high-level livestock operations with state-of-the-art agricultural technology. Reporting to the Aggregation Manager and overseeing staff, the Assistant Manager will play an integral role in driving daily operations across the Murrindindi Aggregation. As a key leadership figure within a vibrant, young, and energetic team, you will help bridge day-to-day station operations with overarching corporate production goals, supporting the entire paddock-to-plate lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
Assisting in the management and daily oversight of elite Fullblood Wagyu breeders, calves, heifers, and young stock.
Coordinating livestock husbandry, mustering, yard work, animal health treatments, and breeding programs (including AI and ET).
Driving the adoption and daily utilisation of modern ag-tech platforms such as AgriWebb, Farmbot, Farmo, and Halter to build accurate operational insights.
Maintaining and upgrading property infrastructure, including laneways, water monitoring systems, and extensive fencing networks.
Safely operating modern plant, machinery, brand-new work vehicles, and CF Moto UTVs across all aggregation properties.
Supporting pasture improvement, fertiliser application, weed control, and general farm development initiatives.
Fostering a positive, safety-focused, and highly cooperative workplace across on-farm staff and broader enterprise teams.

The Murrindindi Aggregation is central to Harmony's Fullblood Wagyu breeding program. The operation brings together complementary properties across the district, each with a clear role: mature breeders and calves, maiden heifers, young-stock development, genetic recording and specialist cattle handling.
