About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Remote Chief Mining Engineer to lead their strategic planning and technical development initiatives. You will provide high-level technical guidance and leadership, working with multidisciplinary teams across different geographies to ensure the long-term viability and profitability of their mining assets. Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of long-term mining strategies, including resource evaluation and mine development planning.
Provide expert technical oversight and guidance on mine design, operational efficiency, and safety standards across the company's portfolio.
Evaluate new mining technologies and methodologies, assessing their potential impact and feasibility.
Conduct due diligence for potential acquisitions and major capital projects.
Mentor and guide a team of mining engineers and technical specialists remotely.




Ensure alignment of mining operations with corporate objectives, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements in the global mining industry.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is essential.
Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in mining engineering, with significant leadership roles.
Extensive experience in strategic mine planning, feasibility studies, and project management.
Deep understanding of various mining methods (open pit and underground) and their application.
Proven ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions for mining operations.
