About the role
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Manager, Product
to lead the strategic management, governance, performance and continuous improvement of BUSSQ's product and service suite.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Fund Operations, this is a senior role with responsibility for ensuring our products remain relevant, competitive, compliant and financially sustainable, while continuing to meet the needs and best financial interests of our members.
You will use product, member, financial, operational and market insights to guide product strategy and identify opportunities for improvement. You will also play a key role in product performance and member outcomes analysis, fee and revenue modelling, strategic planning and providing high-quality insights and recommendations to the Board and Fund Executive.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the strategic management, governance and continuous improvement of BUSSQ's product and service suite.
Lead product performance and member outcomes analysis, including fee reviews, revenue forecasting and product benchmarking.
Lead the Fund's annual Business Performance Review and Outcomes Assessment activities.
Monitor superannuation industry, regulatory, member and competitor trends to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
Support effective product governance, including product reviews, Target Market Determinations, disclosure documentation and approved product changes.
Undertake the Fund's annual fee audit and present findings to the Fund Executive and Board.
Provide high-quality product reporting,



analysis and strategic advice to the Board, Fund Executive and other key stakeholders.
Work collaboratively across Risk and Compliance, Operations, Digital and Technology, Marketing and Member Engagement.
Maintain effective relationships with research and ratings agencies and coordinate product submissions and industry award opportunities.
Lead and contribute to strategic, cross-functional initiatives focused on improving member outcomes and supporting BUSSQ's broader objectives.
To be successful, you will have:
Significant senior product management, strategy or member outcomes experience within superannuation or a comparable regulated financial services environment.
A strong understanding of superannuation products, fees and costs, disclosure requirements and member outcomes obligations.
Experience in financial product governance, performance, review and continuous improvement.
Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps, business cases and strategic recommendations.
Strong analytical capability and experience translating product, financial, membership and market data into practical insights and recommendations.
Experience developing financial models, revenue forecasts and performance reporting.
Demonstrated experience preparing high-quality Board and Executive reports.
Experience with APRA reporting obligations.
Robust leadership, stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, finance, economics, law or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
RG 146 compliance, with relevant superannuation, product management or financial services qualifications highly regarded.
