About the role
Reporting to the Workforce Coordinator Team Leader, you willbe responsible fordeveloping and managing master and operational rosters for station staff and conductors.You'llplay a key role in supporting theroster within theHastus system, applying data-driven approaches to workforce management, and driving continuous improvement in rostering processes.
Key accountabilities include :
Develop and manage master and operational rosters, ensuring compliance with safety, EA, and fatigue risk management principles
Maintainaccurateemployee and roster data inHastus
Support flexible work arrangements, leave planning, and shift swaps
Collaborate with local management teams to hand over day-of-operations responsibilities
Analyse roster outcomes toidentifyimprovements in efficiency, process adherence, and human factors
Champion the use ofHastusand support training for local users
Assistin planning for service changes,special events, and public holidays
Location & Travel Considerations
This role is primarily office-based at 452 Flinders Street; however a moderate amount of regional travel is also expected (1-2 days per fortnight).

Knowledge,Skillsand Experience:
Completion of Year 12
Extensive experience in roster planning(experience in roster planning within transport/logistics sectors highly desirable)
Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Workforce Planning Systems (Hastus highly desired)

Effective organisational and time management abilities

Team-oriented and adaptable to change
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Ability to travel regionally to V/Line locations (1 – 2 times per fortnight)
Intermediate experience with Workforce Planning Systems (Hastus highly desired)
Advanced rostering experience within an Enterprise Agreement
Experience maintaining and creating master rosters
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
