Maintenance Manager | PGH Bricks, Oxley
Lead maintenance excellence at one of Australia's most recognised building products manufacturers.
PGH Bricks, part of CSR, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance function at our Oxley manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring plant reliability, operational performance, safety and cost efficiency across a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys being visible on the floor, building strong relationships with site teams and driving continuous improvement in a complex industrial environment.
About the Role
As Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of electrical and mechanical trades, maintenance planning and supervisory personnel, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the site's production assets.
You'll be responsible for managing a significant maintenance budget, leading shutdown activities, improving equipment reliability and supporting operational targets through best-practice maintenance strategies.
Working closely with Production, Engineering and Site Leadership, you'll help shape the site's maintenance roadmap while fostering a strong safety and continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a multidisciplinary maintenance team across a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
* Drive a robust safety culture and ensure compliance with all WSHE requirements.
* Manage maintenance budgets, resources and contractor performance.
* Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs, shutdowns and maintenance schedules.
* Improve plant reliability, equipment availability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
* Develop and implement maintenance and asset management strategies.




* Manage spare parts inventory and critical stock levels.
* Partner with operational stakeholders to deliver maintenance and capital improvement projects.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, reliability and preventative maintenance principles.
* Implement and sustain CSR's preventative maintenance systems and processes.
About You
We're looking for a practical and engaging maintenance leader who combines strong technical capability with proven people leadership experience.
Ideally, you'll bring:
* Maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing, FMCG, heavy industry, industrial processing or similar environments.
* Experience leading and developing trade-based maintenance teams.
* A hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the production floor.
* Experience working within a 24/7 operation.
* Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, shutdown management and reliability improvement.
* Proven ability to manage maintenance budgets and deliver operational outcomes.
* Experience driving continuous improvement, Lean or reliability initiatives.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Experience working in unionised or EBA environments will be highly regarded.
* SAP or CMMS experience preferred.
Technical Requirements
* Electrical Trade qualification preferred
* Exposure to Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLCs is advantageous.




* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and preventative maintenance methodologies.
