Role Status: Multiple full-time ongoing positions and a backfill opportunity available Remuneration: ASO7 ($116,089 - $125,490) plus 12% superannuation Role Details: Our Adelaide team are seeking multiple full-time ongoing positions and a backfill opportunity as a Therapeutic Care Lead .
This newly established position will exercise sound leadership and workforce development support to Residential Care staff across southern and northern metropolitan regions.
You will uphold therapeutic frameworks through dedicated training, practice guidance, quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Applying a trauma-informed approach to your workplace undertakings will promote robust outcomes for children and young people.
Qualifications: Essential: Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Intervention or equivalent.
Desirable: Tertiary qualification in Human Services, Leadership or Management.
In this role, you will: Oversee the application and evaluation of DCP's therapeutic models of care Facilitate meaningful staff development plans that strengthens their crisis and intervention responses Manage and identify risks associated with therapeutic frameworks across Residential Care Fortify community partnerships, specifically with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to inform culturally appropriate practices Enhance positive programming, youth engagement and community participation within Residential Care.

You possess proven experience in therapeutic leadership within a complex human services or child protection related environment You have high-level interpersonal skills when providing professional consultation to an array of stakeholders You are proficient in trauma-informed care to establish suitable frameworks that bolster outcomes for children and young people You embody a positive spirit to guide and train staff to thrive in a therapeutic care environment You can apply sound judgement to respond to arising issues and manage competing priorities.

About DCP The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia.
The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be secure, strong and connected.
Special Conditions: You must have a current Working With Children Check You must hold a current driver's licence of an appropriate classification and is able and willing to drive in the course of their duties You must maintain a satisfactory psychological suitability assessment to work with children and young people during employment.
