About the Role Full time Chef Required 38 Hours Salary $79,000 - $80,000 plus Superannuation Ooh Baby is looking for an experienced full time Chef.
As Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, including service, staffing, food quality, systems, ordering, rostering, and cost control.
You'll work closely with ownership and management to drive standards, develop the team, and contribute creatively to the direction of the venue.
We're looking for someone who can lead from the front - calm under pressure, highly organised, and passionate about delivering exceptional food every service.
Key Responsibilities Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency Train, mentor, may recruit and develop kitchen staff Manage rosters, labour costs, and kitchen productivity Oversee ordering, stock control,



and supplier relationships Maintain food safety and OH S compliance Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials Work collaboratively with front-of-house management to ensure smooth service What We're Looking For Previous experience as Chef in a fast-paced restaurant Excellent understanding of kitchen operations and cost management Ability to build culture and hold high standards Passion for quality produce and modern hospitality Reliable, professional, and solutions-focused attitude Strong organisational and time-management skills Qualifications Experience Required Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/ Kitchen Management or equivalent qualification Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy commercial kitchen environment Demonstrated experience managing kitchen operations and leading a kitchen team Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment Availability to work across a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required If you're an experienced chef who is passionate about great food, strong kitchen culture, and delivering consistently high standards, we'd love to hear from you.
