Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, we have offices in Abingdon, near Oxford, UK (Scientific Magnetics Ltd) and Houston, USA (Tecmag, Inc.).
With proven capabilities in R&D;, product commercialisation, manufacturing and supply, the company is looking for a motivated and detail orientated person to join our team on a permanent basis, based in the Brisbane (Australia) office.

The software you build helps MRI systems image patients safely and reliably, every day. You won't be stuck in a silo either. You'll team up with seasoned engineers, MRI physicists and hardware engineers.
Responsible for the development of clean, maintainable, tested and efficient code following software engineering best practices and industry standards.
Key elements of the role include:
Design and Development of code for core platform and peripheral systems
Participates in code reviews and provides constructive feedback to peers and team
Contributes to application architecture and engineering discussions.
Supports CI/CD pipelines, software release processes and deployments.




Required Experience & Capability
Has experience using application lifecycle tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, Bugzilla)
Skilled experience delivering software using .NET/C#/WPF, and/or C/C++
Collaborates effectively with technical and non-technical staff, including Product Management, Quality Assurance, and other engineering teams to identify, mitigate, and manage risks, and resolve ambiguity.
Develops, maintains and follows engineering documentation and change management artefacts with strong attention to detail.
Has an inquisitive nature, and is not afraid to dive deep to find the root cause of problems.
Continuously learning new technologies, frameworks, and development practices to improve both individual and team capability.
Can quickly understand and work within complex technical domains, such as MRI.
Proven problem-solving ability.
Approachable personality with strong communication (written and verbal) skills – self driven, organised and proactive.
Of interest would be experience across the below
You have experience writing software for Class II or Class III medical devices.
You understand the standards, frameworks, and quality systems required to develop software in regulated industries (e.g. ISO *****, ISO *****, IEC *****, IEC *****, EN *****)
