About the Opportunity
We are seeking
multiple qualified and experienced Mortgage Brokers
for full-time positions based in Maitland and Newcastle.
These are employed, office-based roles offering the security of a salary together with the opportunity to earn commission on settled lending.
Importantly, successful applicants will be provided with
internally generated client opportunities
.
These are not entry-level positions. Applicants must already be qualified and have previous professional mortgage broking experience.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing client lending requirements from initial enquiry through to settlement.
Key responsibilities include:
Meeting with clients and understanding their lending requirements
Assessing clients' financial circumstances and borrowing needs
Providing appropriate mortgage and lending solutions
Managing home loan, investment property and refinancing applications
Preparing and submitting accurate lending applications
Managing applications from initial enquiry through to settlement
Liaising with clients, lenders, solicitors and other professionals
Obtaining and reviewing supporting financial information and documentation
Following up outstanding information and lender requirements
Maintaining complete and accurate client files
Ensuring compliance requirements are properly completed and documented
Managing conditional approvals, formal approvals and settlements
Keeping clients informed throughout the lending process
Conducting client reviews and identifying refinancing opportunities
Attending client meetings when required
Managing internally provided client opportunities professionally and efficiently
About You




To be considered for one of these positions, you
must be a qualified Mortgage Broker with prior mortgage broking experience
.
We are looking for applicants with:
Current mortgage broking qualifications
Demonstrated previous experience as a Mortgage Broker
Strong residential lending knowledge
Experience managing lending applications from enquiry through to settlement
Strong understanding of mortgage broking compliance requirements
High standards of compliance and file management
Excellent attention to detail
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Ability to identify missing, incomplete or inconsistent information
Strong client communication and relationship management skills
Professional presentation
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple clients and applications
Strong follow-up skills
Ability to work effectively within an office-based team
Professional and accountable approach to client service
Experience in commercial lending, business lending, asset finance or SMSF lending would also be well regarded.
Compliance and Attention to Detail
Compliance and attention to detail are essential requirements for these roles.
Successful applicants will be expected to maintain complete and accurate client files and ensure all required documentation and compliance obligations are properly addressed.
We are looking for experienced brokers who take ownership of their work, check documentation carefully and maintain high professional standards.

You will not be expected to rely solely on self-generated leads or build a client base from scratch.
We are looking for brokers who can take ownership of the opportunities provided, establish strong client relationships and deliver a skilled service from the initial meeting through to settlement and ongoing review.
Remuneration Structure
The remuneration structure includes:
Base salary
Superannuation
Commission based on settled lending
Internally provided client opportunities
Travel allowance for approved travel to attend client meetings
Specific salary and commission arrangements will be discussed confidentially with suitable applicants during the recruitment process.
Travel and Client Meetings
The positions are primarily office-based in either Maitland or Newcastle.
Travel may occasionally be required to attend client meetings and appointments.
A
