Azalea Grove Nursery is a wholesale plant production nursery based at Redland Bay, Queensland, supplying a specialised range of plants to the wholesale, retail and landscape industries as well as government bodies and councils in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Azalea Grove Nursery has an outstanding reputation within the Nursery Industry, being a supplier of choice for over 60 years. Through our networks we produce and supply the highest quality plant stock in order to support our clients to meet or exceed their customers' expectations.
Due to a long period of exceptional growth, we are investing in our future operations and are now seeking to expand the capacity of our sales team. An opportunity exists for an experienced hands-on Sales Account Coordintor to join this team in a senior role where you will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle to support and supply our ever growing Independent Retail and niche Wholesale customers.
The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, this is a rare opportunity for a motivated person to step into a key role within our organisation. You will be our direct contact with our customer base, managing the entire sales cycle including an online stock management system, weekly sales to our wholesale customer base, transport coordination and invoicing management. This role demands strong communication and time management skills and a willingness to not only meet our customers needs, but also provide outcomes that satisfy all stakeholders involved in the sales process.
Your responsibilities may be diverse and will include:
Updating of the stock availability system on a daily basis
Processing all wholesale customer purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
Reconcile all dispatch documents with the Packing and Dispatch team
Book all transport for stock deliveries using third party transport companies
Be the primary contact for our independent retail & wholesale customers
Conduct visits to a range of customers in South East Queensland one day each week to promote our products and conduct ordering on behalf of those customers
Collaborate with other key teams in our business such as production, propagation and maintenance, to ensure business goals are met
Actively drive a system of continuous improvement in all processes, and
Provide backup for our Sales Admin Officer when she is on annual leave
Who Are We Looking For?
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following key attributes:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role
in the Greenlife or Horticulture industries for a period of at least 12 months is highly desireable
Have a strong knowledge of a wide range of plant species
Be a
strong and effective communicator
Be a highly motivated self-starter who is capable of working unsupervised
Must have a solid attention to detail
Have highly developed problem solving skills and be able to effectively multitask
Highly motivated, committed, team focused and reliable, and
Must have own transport
Experience in the horticulture industry would be preferred but is
not
an essential criteria
