Brighter Super is creating a new senior leadership role at the intersection of regulation, strategy and member outcomes. As Head of Regulatory Affairs, you will be the fund's lead voice on how emerging regulatory change gets understood, assessed and implemented, working closely with the Chief Legal Officer, the CRO and the wider Executive team.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Monitor regulatory developments from APRA, ASIC, Treasury, the ATO, OAIC and other relevant bodies, and run horizon scanning for emerging regulatory risk
Assess the impact of proposed and enacted regulatory change on fund strategy, operations, policies, procedures, and prepare regulatory impact statements for management consideration and review
Prepare high quality policy submissions and support the implementation of regulatory change across the business
Present regulatory impact statements and horizon scanning reports to Executive and Board committees
Partner closely with Risk, Compliance and the broader business to keep member outcomes central to every regulatory decision
Build and maintain strong relationships with industry bodies including ASFA and the FSC, and represent Brighter Super's interests through policy consultation
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's degree in Law,



Business, Finance or a related discipline
Significant experience in regulatory affairs or policy roles, ideally within superannuation
Strong understanding of the Australian superannuation regulatory setting, including APRA prudential standards and ASIC requirements
Confident engaging and influencing stakeholders at senior and executive level
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulation into clear, actionable guidance
