Choofas Smokehouse and Seafood are looking for experienced Front of House and Bartenders. These positions require people who understand that the priority of our business is to ensure our guests experience the highest possible standard of food and beverage service in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. These positions also require availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
Key responsibilities
Casual Food and Beverage Attendant:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Table service with the responsibility of managing a section including the customers experience
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Explicit and reset tables promptly
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily and weekly specials and menu changes
- Operate POS system and monitor online booking system along with guest seating arrangements
- Handle customer concerns appropriately and refer issues to Shift Supervisor or Manager when required
- Work cooperatively with kitchen and bar staff
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the restaurant
- Follow food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety requirements
Casual Bartender:
- Greet customers in a friendly professional manner
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in according with restaurant standards
- Pour and serve beer, wine spirits, cocktails and other drinks
- Operate POS system and process payment when required
- Work with FOH and kitchen staff in a professional, friendly manner
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented bar area
- Wash all glassware, utensils and bar equipment
- Restock fridges, and bar supplies when required including changing of beer kegs
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of what is required
- Follow Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements
About you
Casual Food and Beverage Attendant:
- Previous hospitality experience is required
- QLD RSA
- Ability to work part of a team with excellent communication skills
- Calm under pressure
- Customer focused and service oriented
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Ability to learn an extensive menu in a short period of time
Casual Bartender:
- Previous experience in bartending and hospitality required
- Previous experience in cocktail making
- QLD RSA essential
- Ability to maintain knowledge of restaurant bar menu including wine and spirit information
- Ability to work independently
