Accounts Clerk
Brisbane | $75,000 - $80,000 + Super | Full-Time

We are partnering with a well-established, Australian-owned business operating within the construction and services sector to recruit an Accounts Clerk for their Brisbane team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts payable or accounts administration experience who enjoys getting the detail right but doesn't want to remain in a narrow processing position long term.

Initially, you'll take ownership of core transactional accounting including accounts payable, reconciliations and supplier payments. As you become familiar with the business, there will be genuine scope to broaden your responsibilities across the wider finance function.

The Role
Your responsibilities will initially include:

- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing accounts payable and preparing supplier payments
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Reviewing invoices and resolving discrepancies
- Processing credit notes, refunds and adjustments
- Maintaining accurate creditor and supplier records
- Assisting with accounts receivable and invoicing
- Expense processing and general finance administration
- Supporting month-end and reporting processes
- Responding to accounts-related enquiries
- Providing general support to the finance and management team

About You
We're looking for someone who has:

- Experience in accounts payable, accounts administration or a similar finance support role
- Confidence completing reconciliations and working with financial data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to resolving discrepancies
- Confidence communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team
- Good Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills
- Experience using accounting software
- A genuine desire to learn and take on greater responsibility

Experience within construction, trades, manufacturing or another fast-paced operational environment would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
