About the Role
As Senior Tax Advisor, you’ll report to the Group Tax Manager and play an important role in supporting CTM’s global tax affairs.
You’ll use your technical tax knowledge to provide high-quality, timely advice to Group and Regional Finance teams, helping the business identify and manage tax risks. You’ll also support the preparation and coordination of CTM’s global tax compliance obligations, ensuring returns and payments are accurate and submitted on time.
Working closely with Group and Regional Finance, the broader business, and our onshore and offshore support functions, you’ll gain an understanding of key business activities and new initiatives and translate this into practical tax opportunities that improve compliance, efficiency and value.
With CTM operating across more than 20 tax jurisdictions globally and approximately 70% of the Group’s business offshore, this role offers significant exposure to international tax matters, alongside local Australian ASX-listed tax requirements.
This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact corporate tax role where you can contribute to commercial outcomes and help drive value within a fast-paced, dynamic sector.
About the Team
Led by the Global Head of Tax, CTM’s Group Tax team has developed an industry-leading, highly innovative and technology-driven tax operating model.
The team has an established track record of developing and maintaining internal tax technology products and is continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and work smarter, while delivering high-quality outcomes across the business.
Led by the Global Chief Financial Officer,
CTM’s Group Finance team is globally focused and responsible for financial accounting, tax, treasury, and financial planning & analysis at a global group level.
We’re building a finance function of the future by bringing together people with diverse qualifications and skills that extend beyond traditional finance. We take a genuine interest in the growth and success of our team members.
About You
You’ll bring a strong technical tax foundation, commercial mindset and genuine interest in improving how a modern tax function operates.
You’ll have:
- 4+ years’ experience in a Big 4/large CA firm or internal tax function of a large business
- CA/CPA qualification or relevant higher education
- Experience with income tax returns, financial reporting tax disclosures and tax accounting
- Knowledge of income tax legislation and OECD transfer pricing principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, organisation and prioritisation skills
- A proactive approach, with a focus on commercial outcomes, process improvement and simplification
- An interest in technology and developing your tax technical skills and commercial acumen
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management is preferred, but not essential
You’ll also enjoy working as part of a diverse and inclusive organisation,
taking ownership of your work and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
