NTS Transport Engineering is a family-owned semi-trailer manufacturer based in Forrestdale, WA.
We manufacture a wide range of Australian-made transport equipment, including dollies, flat-top extendables, drop decks, skeletal trailers, tippers and plant trailers.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team.
Applicants must have previous experience operating a CNC brake press. Experience operating CNC tube lasers and CNC laser cutters would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the CNC brake press
- Produce accurately folded components to the required measurements
- Read and work from drawings, job sheets and specifications
- Check measurements and inspect completed components for accuracy
- Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each job
- Operate the CNC tube laser and CNC laser cutter where experienced
- Identify and report machine, material or quality issues
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining a high standard
- Carry out routine machine checks and maintain a clean work area
- Follow all workshop safety procedures
To Be Successful, You Must Have
- Previous hands-on experience operating a CNC brake press
- The ability to confidently set up and operate the machine
- Experience reading drawings and understanding measurements
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable attitude and strong work ethic
Experience operating a CNC tube laser or CNC laser cutter is preferred but not essential. Training can be provided on these machines to the right person with strong CNC brake press experience.
Hours and Pay
- Full-time permanent position
- $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience
- Normal hours are 7:25 am to 4:00 pm
- Regular overtime is available
- Approximately 50–56 hours per week may be available
