An opportunity is available for an experienced finance professional to join a busy government finance team. This role suits someone who enjoys working with financial transactions, delivers accurate results and brings a collaborative approach to a high-volume environment.
About the role
You will support accounts payable and day-to-day finance operations, processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and assisting with enquiries and discrepancies. Working closely with the team, you will follow established procedures and contribute to timely, reliable financial services.
We are seeking candidates with:
- Strong finance operations experience, ideally in accounts payable. Experience in accounts receivable, banking, bookkeeping or reconciliations will also be considered.
- Demonstrated accuracy and efficiency when managing high volumes of work.
- Robust verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- A willingness to receive feedback, participate in quality checks and continually improve.
- Experience using Oracle or a similar financial system, which will be highly regarded.

Availability and requirements
You must be Canberra-based and available to work onsite in Gungahlin five days per week. You will need availability for the majority of the three-month engagement, with no extended planned leave.
Commencement is subject to a cleared police check.
