About the Role
As Group Indirect Tax Manager, you will report directly to the Global Head of Tax and play a key role in managing the tax affairs of the CTM Group.

You will help the business identify and manage indirect tax risks by leveraging your technical knowledge to provide high-quality, timely advice to Group and Regional Finance teams. You will also help manage the Group’s global indirect tax compliance obligations.

Working closely with Group and Regional Finance teams, the broader business, and our onshore and offshore support functions, you will understand key business activities and current initiatives and translate that understanding into practical indirect tax opportunities that improve compliance, efficiency and value.

CTM currently operates in more than 20 tax jurisdictions globally, with approximately 70% of the Group’s business offshore. This role offers significant exposure to international tax matters, in addition to local Australian ASX-listed tax requirements.

About the Team
Led by the Global Head of Tax, CTM’s Group Tax team has developed an industry-leading, highly innovative, technology-driven tax operating model.
The team has an established track record of developing and maintaining its own internal tax technology products and is constantly looking for opportunities for continuous improvement that align with its goal of working smarter to achieve high-quality outcomes across the business.

Led by the Global Chief Financial Officer, CTM’s Group Finance team is a globally focused team responsible for managing financial accounting, tax, treasury, and financial planning & analysis at a global group level.

About You

- 6+ years’ experience in a Big 4 or large CA firm, or internal tax function of a large business (revenue >$250m)
- CA/CPA qualification or other relevant higher education
- Experience managing indirect tax compliance processes for a large business
- In-depth knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulations in key operating jurisdictions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Experience leading and developing high-performing tax teams
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic and focus on team and business outcomes
- Interest in leveraging technology, challenging the status quo, and improving and simplifying processes
- Collaborative approach and commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive organisation
- Passion for developing tax technical skills and commercial acumen
- Ability to take ownership and deliver great outcomes
