Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Breakfast Chef de Partie to lead and support breakfast service across our outlets, including our à la carte and buffet offerings. As our busiest and most visible service period, breakfast sets the tone for every guest's day, and you'll play a key role in delivering a consistently exceptional experience. You'll work closely with the Sous Chefs, Executive Chef and the broader culinary team.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, run and pack down the breakfast buffet and à la carte breakfast service to Sofitel standards
- Prepare and cook hot and cold breakfast items to a consistently high standard
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance throughout service
- Manage mise en place and stock rotation for your section
- Support with ordering, costing awareness, and minimising wastage
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen team members and casual staff during breakfast shifts
- Liaise with Front of House to ensure smooth, guest-focused service
- Assist with events and in-room dining as required

Qualifications

About You

- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a CDP,



or a strong Demi Chef ready to step up, ideally in a hotel, luxury or high-volume environment
- Sound knowledge of breakfast buffet and à la carte service
- Robust food safety and HACCP knowledge
- Availability for early morning shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A positive, proactive team player who takes pride in consistency and detail
- Previous experience in a 5 star hotel or high-end restaurant highly regarded
