D&J;’s Civil Construction is a respected and growing civil construction company delivering high-quality civil infrastructure and subdivision projects across South East Queensland.
With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team and develop their career alongside experienced engineers, supervisors and construction crews.
This is a great opportunity for a graduate who wants to get out on site, get hands-on experience and learn how civil construction actually works from the ground up.
The Role
Working closely with our Project Managers, Site Engineers and Supervisors, you will gain exposure to a variety of civil construction projects, including subdivisions, earthworks, stormwater, sewer, watermain and pipe installation works.
Your responsibilities will grow as your experience develops and may include:
- Assisting with day-to-day site management and coordination
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Assisting with set-out, levels and grade checking
- Preparing and maintaining QA documentation, ITPs and checklists
- Completing daily diaries and site records
- Assisting with quantities, take-offs and material requirements
- Monitoring subcontractors, deliveries and site activities
- Assisting with project cost tracking and variations
- Liaising with supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
- Assisting with progress claims and project documentation
- Participating in toolbox meetings and site inspections
- Ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements
- Learning the practical side of civil construction and developing into a confident Site Engineer
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, reliable and ready to get stuck into the work.
You will ideally have:
- A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or be nearing completion
- Previous civil construction experience is advantageous
- A current Australian driver's licence
- White Card
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A practical, hands-on attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- The ability to work in a fast-paced construction setting

Location: South East Queensland – work may be across Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast and surrounding areas.
