Senior TM1 Systems Analyst / Developer

Canberra Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior TM1 Systems Analyst / Developer for a 12-month contract, with two possible 12-month extensions. This Canberra-based opportunity offers a three-day working week, onsite, supporting financial systems modernisation.
The opportunity
Work directly with finance and project teams to maintain and enhance existing TM1 capability while developing modules for a modernised Budget Management Solution.
You’ll combine hands-on technical delivery with business engagement—turning financial reporting requirements into practical solutions that help users make informed decisions.
Your work will include:
- End-to-end TM1 development, from requirements gathering through cube design, rules and TurboIntegrator processes.
- Maintaining TM1 Web Active Forms, security and existing modules.
- Enhancing reporting through Planning Analytics for Excel, Planning Analytics Workspace, MDX Views and Universal Reports.
- Providing user support, training and system performance monitoring.
What you’ll bring
You’re an experienced TM1 specialist who can work confidently at a senior, EL1-equivalent level.
You understand how finance teams use systems and can translate complex requirements into reliable, usable reporting.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with:
- Solid IBM Cognos TM1 experience supporting finance, budgeting or reporting.
- Proven experience administering, maintaining and developing TM1 modules.
- Hands-on capability across the Planning Analytics tools listed above.
- Strong analytical skills and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Commonwealth finance experience and knowledge of salary budgeting, ASL or new policy proposals will be highly regarded.
An existing, active NV1 security clearance is essential. NV2 is preferred.
Contract details
- Location: Canberra—three days per week onsite.
- Hours: Maximum 24 hours per week.
- Anticipated start: 30 November 2026.
- Term: 12 months, with two possible 12-month extensions.
- Annual stand-down: A contractor stand-down generally applies during December and January, usually for 4–6 weeks.
