Castle Hill
Put your practical skills to work where they make a difference. At HLS Healthcare, you’ll install, service and repair equipment that helps people with disability and mobility needs live more safely and independently.
We’re looking for a capable, reliable person who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems and dealing with customers. You may come from an installation or building background, or from field service and mechanical repairs. We’ll support you to develop your skills across both parts of the role.
About HLS Healthcare
HLS Healthcare supplies lifting, transfer and furniture solutions used in hospitals, aged care facilities, schools, specialist accommodation and homes. Quality workmanship and thoughtful service matter to us because people rely on the equipment we provide.
You’ll work independently to:
- Install patient handling and related equipment in line with manufacturer instructions, site requirements and safety procedures.
- Service, troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer sites.
- Test equipment after installation or service, including load testing where required, and record results in our mobile systems.
- Prepare tools, parts and equipment for each job and keep your company vehicle stocked and presentable.
- Communicate clearly with customers, site staff and colleagues to complete work safely and efficiently.
- Travel to customer sites across Sydney and regional NSW, with occasional interstate travel depending on work load.
Our customers include healthcare settings and private homes, so a respectful and considerate approach is essential.
What you’ll bring
- Practical experience in carpentry, building,
equipment installation, mechanical service or field repairs.
- Confidence using hand and power tools, with strong fault-finding skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work safely with equipment, ladders and the physical tasks involved in the role.
- A full, unrestricted driver’s licence and flexibility for overnight travel.
- Comfort using mobile apps and software to manage jobs and record your work.
- Reliability, transparent communication and pride in doing the job properly.
Experience with patient handling equipment or in healthcare is welcome, but you can learn our products on the job. A scissor lift or forklift licence, or an electrical or electronic qualification, would also be an advantage.
What we offer
- A full-time, Monday-to-Friday role with no rostered weekend shifts.
- A company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone for work.
- A supportive team and opportunities to develop your installation and service skills.
- Work that has a practical, positive impact on the people who use our equipment.
To Be Considered, You Must Have (or Be Willing to Obtain)
- Up-to-date flu vaccination
- A current National Police Check, NDIS Screening Check, and WWCC or willing to get them
- The ability to complete a pre-employment medical (at our expense upon offer)
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
To Apply
Please submit your resume with a cover letter outlining why you are the ideal fit for this role. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted ASAP to complete a video interview on completion of a successful psychometric assessment.
