Are you an experienced Level 2 IT Support or Desktop Support professional who enjoys working directly with users and solving technical problems?
We’re looking for a hands-on Level 2 IT Support Engineer to provide onsite and remote technical support across a large, multi-site environment. Based in North Ryde, you’ll support users with desktop, hardware, software and connectivity issues, while also travelling to other Sydney sites when face-to-face technical support is required. This is a full-time permanent role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting, takes ownership of issues and provides a great customer experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing Level 2 onsite and remote IT support to end users
- Troubleshooting and resolving desktop, hardware, software and peripheral issues
- Supporting Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments
- Troubleshooting basic network and TCP/IP connectivity issues
- Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware, software and network-connected devices
- Responding to and resolving incidents and service requests through the ITSM platform
- Assisting with technologies including DNS, DHCP, Exchange, VMware, file and print services, application servers and backup services
- Supporting site upgrades, technology deployments and other IT projects
- Working with internal technical teams when issues require escalation or specialist support
- Participating in the after-hours on-call roster
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a customer-focused IT support professional who enjoys solving problems and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a broader technical team.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in Level 2 IT Support, Desktop Support or a similar technical support role
- Strong troubleshooting skills across PCs, hardware, software and peripherals
- Experience supporting Windows Desktop and Windows Server
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory
- Understanding of basic networking and TCP/IP troubleshooting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
- The ability to work independently across multiple sites
- A current driver’s licence and ability to travel between Sydney sites
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent relevant industry experience
