Designer Tanks is seeking a Factory Staff - Sheet Metal operator to join our manufacturing team on a full-time basis at our facility in Smeaton Grange, NSW. This is a hands-on production role that is central to our manufacturing operations, where you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sheet metal equipment to produce high-quality components. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and efficiency of our products, making this a key position within our assembly and process work operations.
What you'll be doing
- Operating sheet metal machinery and equipment, including shears, brakes, rollers and presses
- Preparing materials and setting up machinery according to specifications and work instructions
- Measuring and cutting sheet metal to accurate dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment
- Performing quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Assembling and forming sheet metal components as required
- Maintaining equipment in good working order and reporting any faults or issues promptly
- Following all health and safety procedures and workplace protocols
- Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
- Working collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines
