Are you an experienced Legal Assistant looking to join a highly regarded Australian law firm and support a busy, high-performing Banking & Finance team?
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Legal Assistant to join a leading national law firm in Melbourne. Working closely with Partners and Lawyers, you'll provide high-level legal and administrative support across a sophisticated client base, including major banking and financial institutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised Legal Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and wants to be part of a stable, collaborative and close-knit team.
The Role |
You will provide comprehensive support to a team of Banking & Finance Lawyers, including:
- Providing day-to-day legal and administrative support to Partners and Lawyers.
- Preparing, formatting and editing legal documents, correspondence and contracts.
- Managing complex diaries, meetings and competing priorities.
- Assisting with matter management, file maintenance, document management and archiving.
- Managing time entries, billing and high-volume monthly billing processes.
- Liaising with clients, banks and other external stakeholders.
- Coordinating meetings and proactively supporting Lawyers across their matters.
- Providing general administrative support within a busy and collaborative practice.
About You |
- At least 2 years' Legal Assistant experience, ideally within Corporate, Commercial or Banking & Finance.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Professional, confident and effective communication skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
