Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking experienced Plant Operators to join our team at Holcim Quarry. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a leading quarry operation, offering stable Monday to Friday hours and the opportunity to work within a safety-focused and supportive environment.
About the Role
As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant equipment within a busy quarry environment. You will work as part of a dedicated team to support daily quarry production activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
Equipment may include:
- Front End Loaders (FEL)
- Excavators (advantageous)
- HR Trucks (advantageous)
- Other mobile plant as trained and authorised
Roster:
- Monday to Friday
- Day Shift: 6:00am to 2:00pm
- Some Saturday work available (typically half-day shifts)
Rate: $38.75 per hour (Ordinary Time)
What We Are Looking For
Successful applicants will ideally possess:
- Previous experience operating mobile plant in a quarry, mining, civil, or construction environment
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Front End Loader (FEL) operating experience
- Excavator experience and/or ticket (advantageous)
- HR Truck Licence (advantageous)
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow site procedures and instructions
Pre-Employment Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to complete:
- Programmed Skilled Workforce induction
- Damstra onboarding requirements
- Quarry-specific pre-employment medical
- Drug & Alcohol screening
- Silica testing (Section 1)
- Any additional client-specific onboarding requirements
