An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-established organisation based in Perth CBD on a fixed-term contract through to July 2027. Reporting to the Payroll Lead and sitting within the Finance team, this is a varied role offering exposure beyond traditional payroll, including remuneration and benefits, HRIS administration, reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement
Your new role
- Managing payroll, remuneration and benefits activities in line with company policies and employment agreements
- Administering superannuation, salary packaging and employee benefits programs
- Payroll reconciliations, payroll tax, superannuation and related deductions
- Supporting annual salary review processes and remuneration activities
- Maintaining employee records and remuneration data within the HRIS
- Producing payroll and HR-related reports and analysis
- Supporting HRIS projects, testing and continuous system improvements
- Providing accurate advice on payroll, remuneration and benefits matters
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, awards,
taxation and superannuation requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in payroll, remuneration and benefits, or a similar payroll-focused position
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation requirements
- Experience working with HRIS platforms, with SAP highly regarded
- Robust analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
